To mark the start of our work on transition to P1, the Nursery children visited Knockbreda Primary School for an energetic PE session in the school hall. Over the last year, the children have been working on their fundamental movement skills at Nursery and this was put to good work during our busy PE session! Well done Knockbreda Nursery!

The children at Knockbreda Nursery School thoroughly enjoyed meeting with their friends from the Shared Partnership programme (St Bernard's Primary School and Knockbreda Primary School) to take part in a pupil-led shared story session at Knockbreda Primary School. This event was a wonderful opportunity for the P5 children to share their excellent reading skills and for the children involved in the partnership to meet and play together outdoors.
The children at Knockbreda Nursery School enjoyed a visit from Belfast City Council and the Recycle Rat! The children were keen to learn all about recycling and how they too can help to look after the environment!

At Knockbreda Nursery School we are fortunate to enjoy three outdoor spaces and we make full use of these each day, whatever the weather! Each week we have a full morning of 'Forest School' when we enjoy 'forest free play' in the Sensory Garden. In addition to exploratory play, there are teacher led activities at our Forest School and these have involved lighting a campfire, creating a bug hotel and planting a herb garden!
Due to continuing adverse weather conditions, Knockbreda Nursery School will be closed on Friday 2 March 2018.

The children at Knockbreda enjoyed a healthy living experience when they had a yoga session with Aisling at Nursery! They enjoyed learning lots of yoga poses!
The children at Knockbreda thoroughly enjoyed Mr Hullabaloo's Winter Wonderland show! With the appearance of lots of well known fairy tale characters and even some audience participation, a great time was had by all!
The children at Knockbreda Nursery School certainly made the most of the snow today! Great fun was had by all, with plenty of snow available to build a snowman!
