About Knockbreda Nursery School

Knockbreda Nursery School is a happy and busy school setting, ‘where play is the work of children’ in a nurturing and caring learning environment.

Knockbreda Nursery is a controlled school, situated on the same campus as Knockbreda Primary School.  Knockbreda Nursery operates a full-time pattern of attendance with 52 children attending in two classes of 26. Each class is staffed with a Teacher and a Nursery Assistant; the school operates as an open plan setting, with staff working as one team and all pupils learning together.

The school is a modern, bright building and boasts a comprehensive range of resources and equipment. There are also two outside play areas, each covered in a 'soft surface' material for safety.  Outdoor play incorporates a number of learning pods to stimulate creative play and learning outside.  The school grounds also include a garden area which helps the children to appreciate and enjoy the outdoor environment, with many opportunities for planting and growing.
