Knockbreda Nursery School is open today despite the snow!
As we will play outside today, please ensure that your child is suitably dressed for the snowy weather.
The paths outside Nursery have been cleared but as the snow is falling fast, please take additional care when making your way along the path to Nursery and down the Nursery steps.
All arrangements for the Red Apple early collection this morning and Green Apple Christmas performance will continue as planned.
Christmas Celebrations at Knockbreda Nursery School
The Christmas celebrations are in full swing at Knockbreda Nursery School! Let the Christmas festivities begin! Merry Christmas everyone!
The Christmas Elf visits Knockbreda
The children welcomed a very special visitor to Knockbreda Nursery School today...Ellie the Christmas Elf came to talk to the children about keeping Belfast litter free! The children were also delighted to hear that Santa already has all their names 'on the good list!'

A visit from the Owl Man
The children at Knockbreda Nursery School enjoyed an interactive visit from Mike, the Owl Man! The Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to stroke the owls and to learn lots of interesting facts about these nocturnal birds.
The Fire Service Visit Knockbreda Nursery School
As part of our curriculum topic When I Grow Up, the children at Knockbreda Nursery School were most delighted to receive a visit from the Fire Service. The children had the chance to explore inside the Fire Engine and to even use the fire hose! Sincere thanks to Blue Watch for taking the time to visit Knockbreda Nursery School and to talk to the children about the importance of fire safety.
Children In Need 2017
Knockbreda Nursery School enjoyed many Pudsey themed activities on Friday 17th November 2017! The Nursery children enjoyed wearing their Pudsey ears, bringing their teddy to Nursery to join in with our Teddy Bears' Picnic, singing Teddy Bear songs and even decorating Pudsey cupcakes! What a busy day we had!

Hub Club November Newsletter

We are very happy to welcome all of our children back to school after the half-term break. There are lots of exciting activities planned for this half-term - please see our November Newsletter here for details and important diary dates. As you can see, we have a busy and enjoyable time planned!
Parent and Carer Drop In Evening
Knockbreda Nursery School was delighted to welcome the Nursery children, their parents, carers and families for our Drop In Evening on Wednesday 18th October 2017.
This event provided the opportunity for the children to show their families around Nursery, meet their new friends and show their loved ones all their favourite places to play at school!
Thank you to all the families and friends who attended this enjoyable event!
Enrichment Fridays
Thanks to our parents and carers' generous contributions to School Fund, the children at Knockbreda Nursery School are now enjoying fun-filled Enrichment Fridays on a weekly basis.
Each week every child at Nursery has the opportunity to participate in a Music and Movement session in The Hub with Dr Mitchell-Barrett, Friday Forest School in the Sensory Garden with Miss Lewis and a cookery session in the classroom with Mrs Beggs and Mrs O'Leary!
The children are certainly making the very most of these stimulating learning experiences each Friday!
School will open as normal on Wednesday 18 October 2017
Following two days of school closure due to the severe weather, school will re-open as normal at 8.30am on Wednesday 18 October 2017. We will look forward to seeing you all!
Parent/carer drop in evening is scheduled for Wednesday 18th October from 5-6pm and this will take place as planned. We will look forward to welcoming you and your families to this event.
Severe Weather Warning- Tuesday 17 October 2017 School Closed
On advice from the Department of Education, Knockbreda Nursery School will remain closed on Tuesday 17 October 2017.

Severe Weather Warning Monday 16 October 2017- School Closed
Nursery will be closed on Monday 16 October 2017 due to the severe weather warnings and following advice from the Department of Education and NI Executive.
Open Days
Knockbreda Nursery is holding Open Days for September 2018 entry on Saturday 25th November (10.00am - 12noon) and Tuesday 5th December (1.30pm - 2.30pm). We would be delighted to show you around our happy school!
We offer full time places (School hours 8.30am - 1.00pm) and Hub Club extended provision (1.00pm - 3.00pm) for pupils during term time.

Governor Drop In Morning
Thank you to our school Governors who were able to attend Governor Drop In Morning this month. The children and staff very much appreciated your visit to Nursery! We hope you enjoyed your morning with us!
October Newsletter
As you can see in our October Newsletter here, this will be a busy and exciting month in Nursery! The children are all settling in well and are looking forward to showing you their favourite things at Nursery at our family drop-in session.

Nursery Celebrations
The Nursery children were delighted to welcome their family and friends to join them for their end of year celebration events! The children performed a number of their favourite songs and rhymes for a very encouraging audience! Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a much needed ice-cream in the glorious sunshine! Well done to the Red and Green Apples!
